Here is your Easter Brunch Menu inspiration! Tips for hosting an Easter Brunch as well as what we are having, plus all recipes!
It's nearly Easter! I have not been this excited about Easter since I was a kid. Christmas gets me every time but Easter doesn't quite have the same build up or excitement for me...until now! Because clearly in my world, having a kid makes everything more exciting! I mean, she's not even walking and I have little egg shaped maracas to hide in the garden for her so that we can have an Easter egg hunt but so that I can still hold onto the "no sugar until she's one" ideal. Come on, she's my first kid!
So in the spirit of starting as we mean to go on, this year we are hosting Easter brunch at our house! The place we live in at the moment isn't big enough for us to have Christmas so I figured I may as well stake my claim on a different holiday...plus, less pressure. And who doesn't love brunch!
And as a total Easter Brunch hosting newbie I have no idea really what I'm doing, so here are my top 3 tips for planning an Easter brunch...take them or leave them!
- Choose things that can be made in advance. This makes for super easy prep in the morning. Heat the quiche and the cinnamon rolls, assemble the croissants, slice the cake and make the coffee. Perfect!
- Choose items that can feed more or less people. Easter brunch is a casual affair at our house. I don't actually know how many people I will be feeding so I'll make a couple of quiches which can be cut into any number of slices, and buy plenty of croissants - we only need to make as many as we need and then anything leftover can go in the freezer! And for the sweet things, 1 cake and 1 pan of Hot Cross Bun Cinnamon Rolls will be plenty.
- Have a back up menu item - I will make sure I have plenty of eggs and a couple of packets of bagels in the freezer. That way if we end up with extras we can do a big pot of scrambled eggs, there will be extra ham from the croissants and ham & egg bagels are super quick and easy to make!
So here is what we will be having:
15 Minute Ham, Cheese & Tomato Croissants
Spinach, Mushroom & Feta Quiche
Fresh fruit salad - something simple - pineapple, blueberries, peaches and anything else that looks good.
Coffee...obviously. But with French Vanilla Coffee Creamer to be fancy!
Also, seriously considering Mimosas...any takers?
Back up item: Bagels, scrambled eggs and ham
What's on the menu for your Easter brunch?

Can you use wholemeal flour in the carrot cake instead of plain flour?
Laura says
Hi Janice, I've never used wholemeal flour in this but I would start with a 50:50 swap to see how it goes and then go from there!
