Salted Caramel Kettle Corn Epic Milkshake!!! With pretzels!!!
I have your attention right? I guess I'm feeling the movie snacks at the moment. Kettle corn anyone? Maybe it's because we're getting ready to get on a plane and watch movies for 13 whole hours while I'll be sad - (not about being on the plane!! - but wishing I had these sorts of ridiculous things to snack on, whiiiiich I won't. "Uh, ma'am, you can't take that epic milkshake through customs..." Dammit!
I think it goes without saying that this is pretty much the worst thing you could possibly eat today. But it's winter, we are not wearing bikinis and we're snuggled up on the couch watching movies. With slippers and a couch blanket. And puppies??? Please! Not us 🙁
Unless Josh isn't home...hehe 😉
So we're in camp "I don't care what I eat today as long as it makes me feel good" right? Great. Because Josh totally confirmed this and claimed that this is possibly the worst thing for you that I have ever made. Agreed.
I've been seeing these epic milkshakes popping up all over the place lately and while I try not to be one to jump on the cool kids bandwagon (at least until 1 year later) I just couldn't help myself with these.
Um, hiiiiii.
You can see why right?
This is the milkshake to end all milkshakes. It has vanilla ice-cream, milk, salted caramel sauce and a whole lotta kettle corn, pretzels and more salted caramel sauce to make it look out of this world. Oh, and more ice-cream. Duh.
Obviously all ingredients can be bought from the supermarket buuut I've got you covered - homemade vanilla ice-cream, homemade salted caramel sauce and homemade kettle corn. Winning.
The milkshake itself is a piece of cake. Ice-cream, milk and salted caramel sauce into the blender.
The key is in the decorating. You will need to plan ahead a little as it needs to set in the fridge before serving. Using a spoon spread some caramel sauce on the inside of the glass and around the rim. Stick as much popcorn and pretzels as you like to the outside and put the glasses in the fridge so that the sauce hardens and the treats stick tight. Who says you can't play with your food?!
Once you are ready, make the milkshake, remove the glasses from the fridge and pour in the milkshake. Top with another scoop of ice-cream, more popcorn, more caramel sauce, sit on the couch, put on a movie, drink your milkshake, serve with more kettle corn and probably an ice-cream cone, feel like a fatty but enjoy doing it! And while we're at it I'm gonna go ahead and insist the movie you put on is "Inside Out." That movie has alllll the good cosy winter feels.
Because if you can't eat super treaty movie food in winter, when can you?!

How awesome... whats life without a little endulgence in my opinion.
These would be great for a kids party or sleepover I reckon. Because they all need a helpful sugar high... not hahaha.
