    Sadie turns 4!

Published: Jun 5, 2021 · Modified: Apr 15, 2022 by Laura · This post may contain affiliate links.

Our smart, curious, kind and loving big girl Sadie is 4!! And what a year it has been!

Sadie wants to know EVERYTHING! She is the question master, asking them from the minute her eyes open, until they finally close again at night! But they are mostly extremely good questions and always with follow up questions too. She won't stop until she is satisfied with the answer you have given her!! But it is lots of fun watching her thought process and seeing her figure things out!

She is also a very strong willed, determined young girl with a definite stubborn streak! She mimics a lot of the things that I say (nothing like having a little parrot to make you think about the words coming out of your mouth!) and says so many cute things - "excuse mes" calls elephants "elf-alints" flamingoes "flinga-moes" and ice cream "ice-pream!"

Sadie absolutely loves going farming and trucking with Dad, gardening and baking with Mum, and playing with Macey. She is an excellent helper around the house and outside and she is a lovely big sister to Macey. And she is super excited to become a big sister again in October! She is convinced she is getting a baby brother, so we will see!

Sadie also loves the beach, eating ice cream, her friends, swings, trampolines and playgrounds, riding her bike and reading books. Her favourite colour is still orange!! And her favourite foods are carrots, ice cream and blueberries but she will eat almost anything I serve up!

She is learning so much every day such as how to recognise and write letters and her name. Her favourite books to read are seek and find books - she often looks at them on her own before going to sleep at night. She is still obsessed with dolls and takes very good care of her special Chloe doll! She is such a nurturing girl.

Not long before Sadie's 4th birthday my Mum, her Nana, very unexpectedly passed away. This was the first person in her life that Sadie had lost and a very special one at that. It was a very strange thing to try and explain to an almost 4 year old but Sadie took it all on board and was very matter of fact about the whole thing which made it a lot easier for us. I think as she gets older she will understand a bit more, but for now we are just talking about it whenever she asks anything.

Sadie is growing up so fast and it is just so much fun having her at home with me everyday and having lots of fun adventures together!
