Whoops...haven't done a life update in a while! May anyone? Obviously June was taken up by our epic honeymoon adventure - more on that once I've actually looked through and sorted the hundreds of photos we took, so let's skip to July in photos!
July was probably the wettest month we've had. Ever. It pretty much rained non stop.
Pretty much everyday looked like this.We celebrated my very special Granny’s 80th birthday with a family lunch at the cutest little cafe.
Sage & Tilly did a whole lot of play fighting, as per usual.
Josh's mum got a kitten...and Sage met the kitten which was hilarious...she is such a scaredy pup!
And she was super helpful in the garden, as always.
She also decided that she really doesn't like going in the car - she just sulks in the backseat! I felt sorry for her so sat back with her!
We had a lot of wet days but there were a few moments of sunshine. So Josh & I spent some time up the farm feeding out silage to the cattle which is a daily job in winter. Josh says that he likes it when I come up with him, but really it's just because he doesn't have to open the gates 🙂
I love them all, but especially the little yearlings - they are so fluffy!! Their winter coats are so beautiful!
And remember this guy? Look how big he is now! Josh says he’s always the first one up to the bike at feeding time. He’s so cute...in a big, kind of crazy eyed steer kind of way!
And look...lambs!!
But the highlight for sure was our first annual Mid-Winter Christmas party! My friends Laura & Charlotte & I had been talking about doing this for about 3 years and we never got around to it until this year. I'm so glad we finally did.We decorated, did Secret Santa presents, played Christmas carols, lit Christmas candles that I got on mega sale in the US because it’s the middle of the year (yay Yankee candle!) and everybody brought their favourite Christmas Day dish or dessert. It was amazing!
The fire was lit, we made mulled wine and we even dressed up our extremely tolerant animals
Sage the reindeer
And Evie the Christmas cat!
Christmas in July is so much fun!
We are super excited to be through the worst of winter and heading towards spring...yay!

I LOVE seeing pictures of the farm animals... keep them coming! Also, that kitten looks just like my kitty, Pan--which makes her extra cute to me. The photo of the kitten and puppy being held apart is too funny! 😛

Pan is such a cute name!! I'm so glad you like seeing these pictures...I love our farm animals!

Ahh I need to get my dog some reindeer ears haha. He would not be impressed. I put a santa hat on him last year and you should have seen his face!
I think mid-winter christmas parties are the best. I love Christmas sooo much, why not celebrate it twice a year?
Laura says
Hahaha I didn't think Sage would sit still long enough - I was amazed! That was our thinking too - Christmas is the best!
