3 Easy Smoothie Recipes (Kid Friendly)

These are three of our favourite healthy and easy smoothie recipes! All made with simple ingredients, three different colours and all kid approved!

DISCLOSURE: This post is a paid partnership with Countdown Supermarkets. All content and opinions are my own.

Hands up if you love getting fruit and veggies into your kids without fuss? Um, YES! Me too.

Sadie has always been pretty good with fruit and veggies but if there is one way she really loves them, it's in a smoothie!

Not only that, adding milk into the smoothie means she's getting a great hit of calcium too - perfect for those growing baby teeth and bones!

We are loving Countdown's new 1L milk bottles - they are just the right size and shape that Sadie can help me pour the milk into the smoothies without spilling most of it. Plus I've found that the more involved she is in the process, the more likely it is that she will eat or drink whatever we are making - perfect!

The other great thing about this milk is that the bottles are made from 100% recycled plastic that can then be recycled again - how cool is that?! This new range comes in three different options -  Trim Calci-Enriched, Macro Organic and our favourite, Non-homogenised Whole Milk which has an  extra layer of cream on top making it perfect for thick and creamy smoothies.

    Our 3 smoothie flavours:

    • Tropical - banana, pineapple, mango and milk
    • Berry & avo - banana, mixed berries, avocado and milk
    • Green - spinach, pineapple, mango, strawberries and milk

Our three different flavours of smoothies come in three different colours, because there is nothing more fun than colourful drinks! And by making them pretty, you can sneak extra veggies into them. I added spinach into the green smoothie, avocado into the berry smoothie and sometimes I add carrot into the tropical smoothie to make it a bright orange (it's Sadie's favourite colour!)

We also love turning these smoothies into popsicles. Just make the smoothie as per the instructions and then pour into ice block moulds overnight. You could even layer them up with all three colours, just pour one colour in ⅓ of the way up and freeze and then repeat with the next 2 colours!

Which smoothie will you try first?
