5 Minute Triple Berry Sugar Free Jam - all it takes is fresh or frozen berries, honey, chia seeds and 5 minutes of your time and you have delicious, easy (not scary to make) refined sugar free jam!

I promised myself, PROMISED that I would not buy into the whole "paleo, gluten free, organic, I'll have a bacon & egg bap but hold the bacon and the egg and the bap and replace it with a field mushroom and some quinoa" thing going on. It is sooo Bondi Hipster ⇐ please watch this video.

And I promise I am really not. But just let me make 1 exception. Because this triple berry jam is the king of all the jams. Frozen berries, honey and...chia seeds. Don't run away.

Frozen berries, honey & chia seeds are all that you need for this delicious 5 minute jam!

The only reason I've done this is because I was curious! I'd heard all these magical things about how chia seeds turn a little bit jelly-like when mixed with liquid. So I had to try it. And it is magical! You should try it...add a spoonful of chia seeds to a little bit of water and let it sit for 10 minutes...it's amazing! Plus, apparently chia seeds are really good for you. And any jam that I can eat with this peanut butter and not feel guilty about it fine by me! You can buy chia seeds right next to the lollies from the bulk bins at the supermarket. Not scary!

And even though I promise I will never, EVER go sugar free, it does make me cringe just how much sugar needs to go in to jam make it set.

Summer is now close enough that I feel comfortable using the bags and bags of berries I froze last summer. Anyone else do that? I buy a ton of cheap raspberries and strawberries to keep me in berries all winter, but then I get too scared to use them in case I run out before I can buy them again, so I end up not using them and get to December and still have a freezer full of berries. #firstworldproblems

But summer is on the horizon...let's use the berries!!

Add the frozen berries to a pot with the honey

Frozen berries, honey & chia seeds are all that you need for this delicious 5 minute jam!

Cook for about 5 minutes until the berries are all smushy. Great word! Mash them up a little, or leave them chunky. Your call.

Frozen berries, honey & chia seeds are all that you need for this delicious 5 minute jam!

Stir in the chia seeds, transfer the jam to a jar, put it in the fridge and wait for the magic to happen. In a couple of hours the jam will be set!

    3 ingredients.

    5 minutes.

Beautiful jam that is great on toast, with yoghurt or spread in the middle of a sponge cake.

Frozen berries, honey & chia seeds are all that you need for this delicious 5 minute jam!

    Too easy!

How long will this keep? Will it last like regular jam?

Hi Maree, in the fridge this will keep for several weeks but due to the lack of sugar, it certainly won't keep as well as traditional jam will.

Have you ever tried grinding the chia seeds? The recipe is great but not a big fan of the seeds.

Your jam looks amazing also and I bet the triple berry tastes so nice! I'm going to try and get fresh berries this weekend at the markets and make a fresh batch. Nothing wrong with frozen but if I can get it fresh I prefer it 🙂 My mum used to make me this drink as a kid with chia seeds and I used to love sipping these little slimy things through my teeth! haha. Sounds gross huh? It was yummy though and they are SO good for you. Who would think such tiny little things would have such huge health power. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Look forward to connecting and following along. x

ps. gave you 5 stars cause I know it will taste great because the strawberry jam I made was amazing on it's own let alone with 3 berries! 😉

I'm going to try this because I'm not a huge fan of ridiculously sweet jams - so this will be perfect!
