How to make s'mores at home. The quintessential American campfire dessert, made for New Zealand. Plus, how to make them on a campfire, the oven or the microwave!
Place a piece of chocolate on one of the graham crackers/biscuits. Stick your marshmallow on the end of a long fork or stick and toast it until it is brown on the outside and gooey on the inside. Carefully place your marshmallow on the chocolate covered cracker/biscuit and sandwich the other one on top. Squish it all together and eat!
Method 2: Oven
Line a baking tray with a silicone liner or baking paper and place a few graham crackers or digestive biscuits flat side up on the tray. Place the chocolate on top, then the marshmallow and put under the grill at about 200°C for 2-3 minutes until the marshmallows are golden brown and starting to bubble. Remove the tray from the oven and place the other crackers/biscuits on top and eat!
Method 3: Microwave
This is a good option if you are only making one. Put a graham cracker or digestive biscuit flat side up on a small plate. Place the chocolate on top, then the marshmallow and microwave for about 30 seconds until the marshmallow starts to melt. Place the other cracker/biscuit on top and eat.
